After the show we headed to the Meet & Greet with Third Day. We sat down at a table In one of the Church rooms waiting for the guys to get there, and this fellow Gomer joined us. She proceeded to tell us how she couldn’t wait to meet the guys because their music got her through one of the toughest times of her life this year. She had been diagnosed with some rare blood disease that caused potentially fatal blood clots in her lungs. She was hospitalized twice with near death experiences and both times Third Day’s music got her through. Turns out she also has two small children that tested positive for the same disease and will have to be watched their whole lives. After hearing her story, I almost felt guilty being there! Then I remembered I paid extra to join “Wired” so I could be there. Plus we heard her tell her story to each of the guys so I’m sure she felt better afterwards. Here she is in our picture with Brad.
P.S. Brad told a great story about the Christmas song he wrote for his adopted daughter that he hadn’t met yet. Tear jerker.
