After Guano Point we hopped on the bus and headed back to the “lookout” and the Skywalk. Turns out, the “lookout” structure was actually the skywalk, and what was painted on the sides of the buses was “an artist’s rendition” of what the skywalk would look like once it was completed. Wow. And here I thought we would be walking WAY out over the Grand Canyon, and we are only walking a little ways out over the side of the mountain. And all those fancy buildings surrounding the skywalk weren’t even built yet! The novelty of walking on glass was pretty cool, and we got to wear some really cute booties over our shoes. Check out our ($16) picture. The camera was only about 3 feet from us, but it was one of those special cameras that made the skywalk looks TONS bigger than it actually was, and thankfully, made us look smaller in the process!!
Once again, my hero Ray decided not to spend (waste) the $25 extra dollars for the experience. But, I would say the experience was at least 75% better than the Blue Man Group.
