We're back!!

Where can I start….we moved into the rent house eleven days ago and have been busy as heck ever since. Luckily the Bensons coming to town gave us the impetus to at least get the bottom floor of the house livable! You can read about the Bensons below. I’ll post pics of the house later when I get more boxes unpacked.

The managers at my job made the wonderful decision to take the internet away from the testing room (what a morale booster THAT was, especially since the people who are actually holding up the project got to keep theirs!) so I haven’t been spending a lot of time catching up with people through their blogs (or at least not as much as I would like). We finally got the internet working properly here, and just this morning Rick found the USB cable that connects my camera dock to the computer. We were just about to pay for overnight service from Kodak to get that replaced!

The kids are doing good – we had parent/teacher conference with Bradley’s teacher this morning and he’s doing great except that he talks too much and sometimes questions her authority (hmmm….not really sure where he gets that from…). Ella’s potty training has regressed a bit since the move, but she’s going #2 on the potty 100% of the time, and going #1 about 60%. I’m not sure how I feel about pull-ups. I can’t tell if she’s not going #1 because it’s still too convenient to go in the pull-up or not. I think I’m ready to put her in panties full time this weekend and see how it goes.

Other good news – our friends Keith and Carla finally (tee hee) got married, and now I have a real girlfriend here! I’m looking forward to movies and shopping and the occasional mani/pedi. Those things are not the same when done alone.

This Sunday Bradley and I are going to see Mercy Me and Audio Adrenaline at the Thomas and Mack center – we are so excited! We will totally be thinking about the Austins during the concert since they are such good friends with Audio A. If you remember, Arnold was asked to be on their “Goodbye” song. I hope you guys are keeping up with their service through their link on this blog. They are truly amazing people!! I’ll also be thinking about the time Jill was talking to Mark Stuart about mucous plugs when someone’s wife (I think it was Ben’s) was having a baby the same weekend as their concert at Bethany. Those were the good ole days….

WOOHOOO!!!! I am so excited for Carla and Keith. I was hoping they would marry. They are good for each other!!! Good to hear you have found your way into a house, hopefully you will be able to stay there for a while. Moving really bites, especially when getting the kids out of their routines. As far as potty training - I also held mixed feelings regarding pull up and stopped using them cold turkey. Ani quickly decided she didn't like being wet, and that was the end of it. Give it a go, just have towels ready for a couple of days!! Love to hear from ya, give me a call when you have some time - I know we all have so much of it to spare!
