Happy Birthday to Me!!

Mimi and the kids made this fabulous fruit salad for my birthday!! It was so good that I'm planning on making it in Disney World for Christmas dinner!

My birthday celebration (thank you, Mimi, for keeping the kids!!) started out at the House of Blues for hamburgers where we met up with Bernie and Tony. Then we headed over to the Rum Jungle for drinks. That place was crazy!! It was a nice quiet place when we first got there, but before long there were girls dancing in cages and flying around on a trapeze. The music was incredibly loud and I couldn't wait to call Jill - even though it was 1:15 in the morning back home - payback for all the times she calls me when she's partaking!

Here we are in front of a wall of water. I think Bernie and Tony lasted until about 11:00, but I was determined to have my Vegas experience, and I made Rick stay out until after 2:00.

After the Rum Jungle Rick and I went to Tao in the Venetian. You can see by the redness of my cheeks that I may have partook a little too much! But, I finally made it to one of the Vegas hotspots. I have to say I'm not that impressed - or maybe I'm just too old. There must have been about 8,000 people in there packed in like sardines. If I never make it to another Vegas hotspot it will be fine with me - I just had to get it out of my system.

Today we all went to the Forum at Caesar's Palace to do a little shopping and try to take pictures of the kids for a Christmas card. None of the pics came out great, so we'll have to try again later. All in all it was a great birthday!!
