Riverside Walk

The riverside walk goes along the Virgin River, the tiny river that created these beautiful canyons. The canyons are at the bottom of the Colorado plateau, so the river is the runoff from the mountains. As we all know, water is a very powerful force.

It’s a shame that so many people have fed the wildlife here, that the squirrels are not only tame, they are also beggars. Right before I took this picture I saw a different squirrel hauling off a Pringle’s potato chip. I mean if it was nuts, it would be ok. But potato chips? Crazy.
