Genetics? Or Learned?

Rick is the type of person (and he will probably kill me for telling this story) that strips down to nothing when he has to go #2. Bradley started doing this at an early age. I figured he was just copying his Dad. I can always tell when I come home and use the bathroom downstairs if Bradley has gone #2 because his shorts and unders will be laying on the floor (because he will go upstairs afterwards and put on boxers). Now Ella is doing the same thing, only she finishes (#1 or #2) and at least brings her shorts/panties to us to put them back on. I'm hoping that it is only because she is little that she still takes everything off, but we'll see.

So last night we went to Outback to eat dinner. About half-way through, Ella announces (very loudly) that she has to go "poo poo." I hop up and take her to the bathroom, and when we return, Rick is by himself at the table. I ask where Bradley is, and Rick motions towards the boys bathroom. So after a few minutes, Rick gets up to check on Bradley (our table was right outside the door), and comes back to the table laughing so hard his eyes are slits and he is about to pass out! I ask what happened, and he says he opened the bathroom door, and looked straight ahead, and underneath the bathroom stall he sees in a perfect pile - Bradley's shoes, shorts, and unders! Naturally, I say "See what you have taught him to do?!?!?" And Rick says "That's pure genetics, Baby!!"

Genetics or learned. You decide.

During a trip to Grand Isle with a large group, mainly family, I walked into the camper to use the restroom. The bathroom was occupied and I could see that whomever was in there had taken off all their clothing. Putting 2 and 2 together, I knew it was my male cousin and figured he was going #2. Apparently, he likes to poo in the nude. So, what did I do? I stole his clothes and brought them outside and hid them. Several minutes later you could hear him "bellowing" for his wife. Since everyone knew what I did, no one responded to see what would happen. He bellowed much louder and finally resorted to opening the door, half naked, demanding his clothes. I think he was a tad upset with me. Needless to say, everyone was crying from laughing so hard. Genetics or a learned behavior - don't know. But, never poo in public, naked, and leave your clothes in a different room. You never know who could steal your clothes.

O.K., When Sid was little he stripped down for #2 and put his feet on the seat of the toilet to "poop like a dog". Would that be a learned behavior from a dog? He still pretty much strips to poop. It took a long time to break him of the poop like a dog thing. One time he came running to me (while we had company) and said, "Come and look Mom , I pooped a hammer".

Okay, all I can say for sure is ...if it IS genetic he didn't get the gene from his dad.......
