Family Reunion…..of Sorts

Last weekend my friend Carla played in a slots tournament at the MGM Grand, and her husband Keith had to work Saturday night so she invited me to the reception, which was themed “family reunion”. There were about 400 people that played, and she came in 143rd – not too bad!! The best thing about it was she got 3-nights free in a room, three meals per day charged to the room (for two people), and she/we got to attend the reception. We got there kind of early, so we got to sit in the front. The table was beautifully decorated – even the sunflowers were real!! The food was excellent and so was the band!! We had a great time watching all the people, and they kept trying to get us to dance. We finally gave in when they promised we could shake the tambourine! We even started “singing” into the ketchup and mustard bottles! Thanks, Carla, for an excellent girl’s night out!!

The guy behind me was the one who “won” the tournament - $20,000 in cash! I was telling Carla to take a picture of me with the winner in the background, and she kept saying, “what background?”…that’s why I was laughing so hard!!
