Day 2 – Coronado Springs and Animal Kingdom

After sleeping in (unusual for me, but it was only 6am Vegas time) until 10am, we took showers and went through the rigamarole of moving to Coronado Springs (but boy was it worth it!) so we didn’t get to Animal Kingdom until close to 1:00. Bradley and I headed over to get fast-passes for the new Expedition Everest rollercoaster while the rest went to the Safari Ride, but they were out of fast-passes. Since our original plan was to hit the Nemo show at 3 and we were running out of time, Bradley and I waited in line for the ride for 40 minutes. It was awesome! We rode in the back and it was such a cool rollercoaster! Later in the week we headed back over and rode in the very front car, and it was about 10 times scarier! Check out the trailer for it here:

The line for the Nemo show at 2:30 was about 500 people deep, but Bradley and I waited in it while the gang headed that way. Once we got inside the cramped theater we decided it wasn’t worth it, so instead we met up with the gang at the Tree of Life and watched the bug show.

Check out the gangstas we found on the bus back to the hotel:

We ate dinner at the Coronado Springs restaurant called the Pepper Market – the food was fabulous – then headed over to the condo in the Orange Lake resort (which turns out to be about a gazillion acre resort with lots of activities for the kids). It was so good to see everyone! At this point Nicholas had a fever virus so the Parkers headed back to the Springs with us while Pops stayed at Orange Lake. Lots of Motrin and Tylenol later and he felt somewhat better, but by Tuesday Austin had the fever virus and naturally by Thursday Bradley had it. Luckily it wasn’t that bad of a virus and it didn’t last that long, and it’s better that Austin and Bradley got it instead of Pops.
