We went to Paul and Angie's to watch the LSU game (geaux tigers!) and eat hamburgers. Ella was quite the kissing bandit! And Bradley was worn out from yet another swim meet. He's now qualified in several events for the state meet in Reno in January (hello 9 hours in the car!).I was driving on the way home when my cell phone rang. Rick dug it out of my purse and said "It's Jill." My quick calculations (I didn't go to school for nutt'n) determined that it was 11:30 back home and Jill must be partaking. She had lots of people at her house and she took the time out to call and say she misses me (among other tawdry things that canNOT be repeated!). It made me happy and sad all at the same time. Sad because I know I'll never have such close friendships here, and happy to at least have had them at all (and still do have - only from a distance now). Word of advice - cherish your friendships and nurture them. You never know where life is going to take you.
