Disneyland / California Adventure Day 2

We get out of bed early and make it to the parks around 8:00, and head straight to Space Mountain to beat the crowds – but Space Mountain was temporarily broken down. So we take our both kids on the Buzz Lightyear ride. From the looks of Ella, I’m guessing it was a little too early for that much stimulation!

I didn’t take nearly as many pictures this time because I was busy riding the rides! After Rick and Bradley rode the Astro Cars (or whatever they’re called), Space Mountain was open. We got a fast pass, and waited in line, so we got to ride two times in a row. When Bradley and I were waiting in line the first time, we got behind a couple of “Joel Smallbones” and I was reminded of being with Susan at Rock the Universe a couple years back, and what she said when those “Joel Smallbones” turned around out of earshot! God, I miss those Susan comments! Space Mountain is awesome, and we would ride it a bunch more during the trip.

While we were waiting for the fast pass at Thunder Mountain Railroad, we saw Woody and Jessie. Ella liked them from a distance, but when I tried to get her to stand in the picture with Bradley, she ran back to me! They are kind of intimidating for an 18-month old! I still made Bradley pose, even though he didn’t want to.

Towards the end of the day we got to go on It’s a Small World. You can see that Bradley is “thrilled” (once again), but me and Ella are loving it! We called the picture of the little gymnasts “Realis”.

Ella also loved the carousels – they are also more her speed.

Later that night Bradley and I were waiting in line for 45 minutes for Splash Mountain and we got to see the beginning of the fireworks while we were on the ride and the end once we got off. Rick and Ella had a premo spot for the whole show. It was a fun day!

It looks like another great Jackson adventure. No matter what, Bradley will remember this summer, even though it has been a tough one for him. I love these pictures from "It's A Small World". I remember riding that ride over and over again when we would go to Disney. We always went when my Aunt Lynda would come for a visit from Wisconsin. I haven't seen her for 16 years now. I really miss her. I really like the scene for Holland. As a little girl I felt special when I saw that since my Dad was born in Holland. Silly girl dreams. Thanks for the pictures and triggering my memories!
