Central Christian Church

We found our new church home! Rick attended a few times before we got here, but the whole family went today and it is awesome! Luckily for us, the church is doing a sort of taking a look back while also looking forward month, so we got to learn a little of the history of the church. It started 42 years ago with 26 people in a building on the corner of 9th and Freemont (old Las Vegas) and has moved campuses a few times and now resides in a huge building in Henderson (just down the street from us). It is one of the top 50 churches in the nation based on number of church members. It is really technologically advanced - when we filled out the card for Bradley and Ella, they typed it into a computer and then spit out printed labels for them to wear.

Bradley's class starts out in a big room with the general message, then breaks out into smaller groups. He has already made a few friends!!

Ella's classroom is bigger than any classroom I've ever seen, and bigger than our apartment living room! When we picked her up, they said she danced and colored on paper and had a great time!

The pastor is a somewhat younger, more progressive type of pastor and the music is contemporary. I really felt like God was talking to me through the message - it was about secrets and what they do to us internally. It's so true - even if noone else finds out, secrets can tear you up inside. I feel so happy and so blessed and I'm looking forward to going every weekend!!
